TRUSTED BUSINESS SENSE for our energy future
Chugach Electric faces major decisions with multi-generational impacts - decisions that will directly affect member rates, grid reliability, long-term sustainability, and our ability to meet energy transition goals. The challenges also present an opportunity to navigate a smarter, more resilient path forward.
As an investor, small business owner, and board leader, I bring pragmatic experience in governance, financial oversight, strategic planning, and risk management - skills that are critical in making thoughtful, future-focused decisions.
We have a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of our energy system in a way that benefits our families, businesses, and future generations. As your representative on the Chugach Electric Board, I would be honored to bring my experience and leadership to this important work.
Thank you for making your voice heard in this May election.

SOLUTIONS FOR OUR CHUGACH ELECTRIC

NATURAL GAS
SUPPLY
Addressing the Cook Inlet gas shortage requires a comprehensive strategy that balances both immediate and long-term energy security. Chugach must secure reliable natural gas supply agreements to bridge the gap caused by declining production that also does not limit our ability to pursue the best long-term options. Long-term agreements must focus on affordability and reliability to ensure stability for decades to come.
By taking a proactive and balanced approach, we can protect the cooperative’s existing investments, maintain affordability for members, and ensure a resilient and sustainable energy future.

RENEWABLES AND DIVERSIFICATION

I support diversifying Chugach Electric’s generation portfolio with increased investment in renewable and clean energy sources, ensuring these transitions are economically viable supported by a reliable grid.
By strategically integrating utility-scale renewables such as wind and solar, increasing hydro generation, and adding energy storage solutions, we can reduce dependence on fossil fuels and exceed the Board’s carbon reduction targets of 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2040.

A SECURE AND
RELIABLE GRID
Upgrading the Railbelt transmission system is a critical step to ensuring that electricity can be efficiently delivered where it is needed.
I support Chugach’s systematic upgrades to its owned transmission lines and collaboration with other utilities to secure Federal and State funding for broader Railbelt transmission improvements.
Strategic investments in grid modernization will not only enhance reliability and resiliency but also enable cost-effective renewable energy deployment, reducing long-term dependence on volatile fuel sources.
